Ideas for exploring our creative hub

Te Tuhi is our contemporary Art Gallery which is or significance to the NZ art world.  Driving through Howick Village visit the exhibition at Uxbridge Art and Culture Centre, as well as The Howick Art Group at Green Gables which displays and sells artworks by local painters. On Saturday mornings the Howick Market has items for sale that have produced by local artists and artisans. 

Travelling down to Ormiston the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple holds larger exhibitions through the year.  This building itself is a work of art, and its peaceful courtyard gives time for a moment of reflection. 

Heading out to Clevedon visit Woodzone for beautiful wood products – you may even see one being created.  In Clevedon Village Clevedon Creatives sells a huge variety of different handmade items great for gifts.  During the summer art activities at different workshops in rural East Auckland give s different perspective – a lovely way to spend a day.
