Support for businesses during Covid-19
We understand the pressure Covid-19 has placed on all businesses, particularly those dependant on tourism, as well as the community, and we're here to help promote businesses and the region. There are opportunties a climate like this offers, and we are presenting recovery workshops to help local businesses navigate through these uncertain times. Our workshops are headlined by local businesses, and our tourism and hospo operators share how they have managed. Telling personal stories and having professional speakers provides information, coping mechanisms and tools for businesses as they prepare for the future.
To grow awareness of our amazing East Auckland region we:
- advertise events in our area on our website
- regularly liaise with Auckland Unlimited
- participate in the Regional Tourism Forum
- ran a successful competition in the travel supplement of the "Herald" newspaper
To support our members we :
- offer informative networking events
- provide the East Auckland Tourism website as a platform to list your business
- provide an Event platform on our website to promote their events
- have a chatroom for member only communication
- encourage and facilitate collaborative relationships
- co-host member's events on Facebook
