This bushwalk in Mellons Bay takes you along the MacDonald Walkway and McLeay Reserve.
Starting at Mellons Bay - there is car parking here is you wish to drive - take a stroll along the beach before joining the walkway.
This is an easy family Sunday bush walk. From the beach you follow the walkway through a new housing development and then through established suburbia. You can take a sneek look into peoples gardens along the way - there is a fairy garden too. A local community group have tirelessly worked along the valley and have planted over 1000 trees and grasses there in the last year. They kindly posed for the camera - a great group of residents keen to take care of their neighbourhood.
Wheelchair accessible from the beach to the Haseler steps.

Our Tip:
As this walk was done during Covid Lockdown we did need a mask as there are some narrow parts along the way.
Things to do nearby:
If you are keen to tackle Haseler Crescent and walk to the top then across Bleakhouse Road is Murvale Reserve which is another very pleasant walk through a glen and treed area reminiscent of an English wood with many oak trees as well as some enormous conifers.
